Up cycling and thrifting are my favorite hobbies. I love going to garage sales and thrift stores to find items that I can transform into something beautiful and unique. Recently, I found three items and new exactly what i was going to do.

I used my favorite green from Fusion Mineral paint called Inglenook to paint the frame, I then used Picket Fence (white) and dried brush that on. This made the texture of the frame pop. I added the card that was in a Decoupage Club Box. How cute is that!

For the Horse and Angel I used one of my favorite pinks Rose Water, the horse was very shinny and it would have been better if i had used the Ultra Grip and then painted. By not using the Ultra Grip as a primer first i had to paint several times and still has some difficult spots. If your item is glazed and shinny use the primer first!

When I finished, I was amazed at how the items looked completely different. They were no longer dull or damaged, but rather new and refreshed. The best part of it all was that I had saved these items from ending up in a landfill, and had also saved myself some money by repurposing them.
