Table Makeover

Table Makeover

It's amazing what you can do with paint and a transfer!

I bought this table at the antique market for $15.00 which was a steal!! I new I wanted to create a unique blended look when I purchased this vintage table.

I used 3 colours of paint from DIY Paint and a transfer from Iron Orchid Designs

I blended Little Black Dress, Blue Iris and Water Lilly. I also used a water mister to help blend the colours.

Next I added this gorgeous transfer from Iron Orchid Design called Wall Flower! I did not seal the top before (which I normally do) because I wanted to know if it would go on without sealing. Well.....lets say seal it first!! It was difficult to apply and did not adhere in some spots, which is ok because I was going for the distressed look. So if you are using chalk type paint, seal it first with a liquid sealer. I would use Big Top from DIY!

IOD was flower transfer

Next I clear waxed the entire table using DIY all natural wax, this stuff is like butter and has no harsh smell! I then buffed the table after 24 hrs.
