Keep your soup cans for crafting....or chickpeas like I did LOL
This is just 1 way you can recycle those cans. I have added the supply list for this project and for full instruction please watch video below.....Happy Crafting!
Supply List
The can I used is 16oz I think LOL.... it's the next size up from the 8oz can.
Remove both ends with a can opener that does not leave it sharp. You will squeeze one end closed.....see. video below
I painted the can with White Swan but Vintage Linen will work as well. I then mixed in Faded Burlap and Kissing Booth using my paint brush.
The spring word was made using IOD Air Dry Clay in the Harper mould, ( we also have the Victoria) and the trim on the bottom was the Trimmings 1 Mould.
Before gluing the letters I painted them first.....trust me....it's easier this was LOL
The letters were painted with Petticoat Pink, Cake Batter, Pedal Pusher and Kissing Booth . The trim was painted in Fancy Farm Girl
To give it a vintage look, I clear waxed it first and then added Black Wax.
I tied a piece of fabric around then top and added some Spanish moss to the inside. Then I added the Lilac Hydrangeas and some of the Lilac Sprigs......Oh and toped it off by hiding a few eggs in there.....so cute. The eggs were from a thrift store.
It's a pretty full project so if you have some time watch the facebook replay below.
I hope this inspires you to use tin cans for crafting!.....Always find the time to craft every day!
