decor cutting board with a toile pattern created using the La Campaign Stamp From IOD

Cutting Board Decor

Creating a unique and personalized home decor is a wonderful way to express your creativity and add a personal touch to your living space.

Recently, I tried my hand at making my own toile pattern using the new La Campaign Stamp and a few other things, and I have to say, I love how it turned out! It was fun and satisfying to create something from scratch.

If you are unfamiliar with toile patterns, they are typically characterized by intricate, repeating motifs featuring pastoral or country scenes, While traditionally used for upholstery and drapery, toile patterns have become increasingly popular in other home decor elements

To create my own toile pattern, I used a combination of element from the La Campaign stamp to build up the design, starting with a base layer of Pebble colour paint. I chose a simple farm scene with a cow, sheep, and flowers. Then, I added subtle variations in shading with brown ink and texture to give the pattern depth and dimension.

One of the best things about DIY projects is that they allow you to personalize your home decor in a way that reflects your unique style and taste. For me, I love the cozy and welcoming atmosphere, and this toile pattern was perfect.

In conclusion, if you are looking to add a personal touch to your home decor, consider trying your hand at creating your own toile pattern. Who knows, you might just fall in love with the process and end up with a beautiful and unique piece of decor that you can be proud of.
